Pharmacy Collect

Collect free rapid Covid-19 tests here

We are participating in NHS Test and Trace's Pharmacy Collect scheme.

We have put together some FAQs to help you understand this scheme

Please note: as of 4th October 2021, you will need to obtain a collect code via or call 119 prior to making a collection from a pharmacy

Who is eligible for a free Covid-19 rapid test?

Tests are available to everyone. Supply to under 16s wishing to collect tests is at the discretion of the pharmacist.

How many tests are in each box?

Each box contains 7 tests. This is sufficient for three weeks' of twice weekly testing, with a spare test in the event of a void or failed test.

How many boxes can be collected?

We are allowed to supply up to 2 boxes per transaction. This is to provide tests for a household, family or support bubble.

Will I have to provide any information when collecting?

Yes. This is a requirement of the scheme. We are required to ask the following information. None of this information is personal or requires you to be identified.

We will ask:

  1. Have you collected LFD test kits before?
  2. Why do you need tests?
    1. My child is at school
    2. I work at a school
    3. I am in a bubble with school children or staff
    4. I leave the house for work
    5. My local council advised me to test
    6. My GP / healthcare professional advised me to test
    7. Another reason
  3. The age range(s) of the person(s) needing a test
Can you assist me in carrying out the test?

Unfortunately, the scheme only allows us to provide the tests for home testing. In the event of you needing assitance performing the test, please contact NHS Test and Trace on 119.

Do I have to report the test results?

Yes. It is an expectation that all results, negative or positive are reported to NHS Test and Trace via their website at: Results can also be reported via telephone to 119. Full instructions for reporting results are also provided via a leaflet in each box.
